Supporting the Helpers Who Support Us All
Frontline helpers work every day to support vulnerable people here at home and globally. We exist to ensure our helpers can sustain their essential work over time.

We face a global trauma epidemic
Our helpers—from social workers and counselors to health care providers, teachers, police, tribal leaders and all those who support survivors of trauma, violence and disasters—face unprecedented challenges. These often leads to burnout and compassion fatigue, with some suffering in silence while others choose to leave the helping professions.
Our Helping Better Together program provides trauma-informed training, supervision and community for individuals and organization
“I know that if I have good support—both internally and externally—I can bend but not break in stressful situations. This is how I strive to nurture resilience.”
– U.S. Social Worker and Program Participant

Our Approach
We consult, train and partner with service providers and communities to build sustainable, healthy systems—no exceptions. Since 2008 our focus has included gender-based violence, migrants, and host communities, trauma-informed care and culturally responsive trauma prevention
Our Team & Values

The work of Pomegranate Connection is done almost entirely by volunteers. We are directed by a volunteer board and our programs are generally delivered by people who contribute their time without taking a wage. There are many opportunities to contribute. If you are a retired professional with skills to share, or a person with some time and a desire to support our mission of building cross-cultural capacity to support survivors of trauma and violence, please contact us.
